Thanks for this beautiful tribute to Nathalie Dupree and the recipe for shrimp and grits, which I regret I’ve never tasted. It’s been so great to learn about Nathalie. I wish I’d been privileged to meet her.

I first met Nathalie in 2003 when we were both on the board of the Charleston Wine & Food Festival. She was indeed the epitome of a Southern Lady. I also learned never to argue with her because I would lose. We have lost one of the really good ones.
